Death Cafe

Free

5.30pm-7.30pm Wed 18 April @ Bewiched Coffee, Bridge Street, Peterborough PE1 1HJ

You are invited a Death Cafe for Peterborough.

In talking about Ugly Chief by Vic Melody, that we are bringing to our theatre festival, we have become very aware as to how talking about death is difficult for many people, including us sometimes (see HERE a blog about this.)

So we have decided to host a Death Cafe, an informal drop-in event where people can talk about one of this certainty which people rarely talk about.

Maybe our conversations will grow insight into understanding one of life's greatest mysteries.

Bring your curiosity and have a willingness to learn and share your thoughts, feeling and questions with other like-minded people.

Please be aware this is not a grief support group.

More info about the international Death Cafe movement: HERE.

Pre-booking is not required, and you can drop in anytime but if you can let us know it does help - sign up on THIS PAGE.

This event is FREE but if you can please buy a coffee as Bewitched are not charging us for the use of the venue.  If this is difficult for you talk to the host, Kate Hall, who will create you on arrival and she will sort you out.

"She's a natural"

As part of her research for the show Vic Melody trained to be an undertaker. She clearly takes her work very seriously, which is how she finds the humour, and honesty, in the subject matter.

Vic hasn't needed to deliver the funeral she had begun to plan for her dad because he had been misdiagnosed - but it started conversations about their relationship, about their past, which probably wouldn't have happened otherwise.

DON'T FORGET There are 5 other shows in Season4, March 20 - April 21 WHAT ELSE WILL YOU TRY?
