How can we think playfully about our creative spaces?
6pm-7.30pm Thursday 9th April @ The Boizot Lounge, New Theatre
This month’s Culture Forum invites local artists, freelancers and cultural organisations to come together to explore creative space in a more playful, collaborative way.
Rather than focusing on what’s missing, we will share knowledge about what already exists, discover inspiring examples from elsewhere, and experiment with new ways of thinking. Through conversations and interactive activities, we will map current spaces in the city, explore how others have reimagined space in creative ways, and take part in playful exercises designed to unlock fresh ideas. There will also be the opportunity to share challenges and hear different perspectives from others in the room.
This is a light, informal session designed to help people connect, feel supported, and leave with a renewed sense of possibility. Participants will leave with a clearer understanding of available spaces in Peterborough, new ideas and inspiration, and a stronger sense of connection to the local creative community.
About the facilitator:
Emily Bowers is an artist living on the rural outskirts of Peterborough, working in both personal practice based around feelings and nature, and socially engaged practice with local communities. Having experienced challenges with self-esteem and negative headspace, they've pivoted their attention to the power of finding joy, connection, and building resilience.
