Work with Jumped Up Theatre: New Creatives 2026

Jumped Up Theatre is looking for a theatre maker and facilitator to work with young people in Peterborough on a new scratch performance for young audiences. This is a paid opportunity to co-create an ambitious, playful and timely piece of theatre with New Creatives, a group of 16-24 year olds taking their first steps into the creative industries.

The project will explore the environmental impact and wider ethics of AI through theatre, performance and young people’s ideas. We do not expect you to be an expert in AI or environmental science. Curiosity, strong facilitation skills and a willingness to discover the theme collaboratively are key.

We are looking for an experienced theatre maker and facilitator with a specialism in either Puppetry, Verbatim Theatre, Forum Theatre, Spoken Word, Mask or Gig Theatre, co-creation and working with young people. The selected artist will support New Creatives to test ideas, build confidence, develop performance skills and create a scratch/R&D performance shaped by their voices.
