We’re looking for 2025/26s new programme participants!
Jumped Up Theatres New Creatives programme is a free creative youth programme focused on climate action that runs each year from September to May. It is available to young people across Peterborough who desire to build their creative skills and make a change for the local environment.
Are you curious about performance? Passionate about the environment? Do you want a safe space to develop your skills with like-minded people?
Here’s what our current New Creatives team enjoys about the opportunity:
Learn and Explore: Try out exciting new skills, whether it’s comedy, clowning, or theatre, every session is engaging, exciting, and hands-on.
Build Connections: Meet and collaborate with other young creatives from around the city.
Speak Up: Share your opinions and ideas—you’ll be heard and valued.
Work with Professionals: Get inspired by experienced artists and learn from their expertise.
Boost Your Confidence: Step outside your comfort zone in a safe and supportive environment.
Enjoy a Positive Atmosphere: The group describe the sessions as a “friendly and energetic vibe”.
Create Change: Use your creativity to spark conversations and have a real impact on Peterborough.
Explore: Participate in fun trips and experiences.
We’re inviting you to be part of an exciting team collaborating with professional artists to co-create a performance or event aimed at addressing environmental issues in a fun, interactive, and thought-provoking way through games, performances, and shared creativity.
Whilst you will be guided by the artists and the Jumped Up Theatre team the outcome of the programme is led and decided by you.
