The Fierce Talent Film

Jumped Up ‘s Fierce Talent project is about celebrating and inspiring creativity for young people in our city. Who in Peterborough has #FierceTalentYI?

In May, Jumped Up Theatre filmed The Fierce Talent Film with a selection of local young artists and creatives. Featuring our Sounding Board reading a poem written by local spoken word artist, Charley Genever, the Fierce talent Film hopes to inspire young people across the city to celebrate and embrace their creativity.

FIERCE TALENT is a co-created campaign to empower, platform and inspire young people’s creativity in Peterborough.  This youth-led programme aims to reset perceptions in Peterborough about what arts and culture is, and what younger generations have to offer.

Jumped Up are a Peterborough-based company who work with artists, communities and  organisations  to make events, create performances and lead campaigns.   Jumped Up has a  history of  creating work with communities,  making shows from their stories or having community participants as performers, campaigners or participants.  We also collaborate with community partners in shaping and delivering projects.

Fierce Talent is Year 1 of Jumped Up’s participation in the Moving Roots network, a co-creation project: three live performances and participation projects made with, by and for Peterborough over the next three years.   The Fierce Talent campaign built towards a new, Peterborough version of Darren Pritchard’s hit-show Rent Party on July 1st and 2nd 2021, to be performed at the Key Theatre Studio.
