Chloe’s Dance Company is a Peterborough-based organisation promoting health and wellbeing through dance, movement, and creative expression. She is a qualified dance and fitness instructor working with ages ranging from 4- 104 weekly.

Chloe ran a series of dance workshops in Richard Barnes Academy working with young women and primary age children to create dance videos and have fun expressing themselves through movement.

Previously Chloe worked with Jumped Up on The Northern Soul of Peterborough project, leading the very popular weekly Body & Soul classes, from March 2020 to May 2021

Charley Genever tries to make the world a more honest place through vulnerable and unapologetic poetry. Living and working from Peterborough, she is a former Peterborough Poet Laureate, and vice-chair of Syntax Poetry. Since 2015, she has performed in theatres, pubs, and high streets across the country. 

Charley worked with Gladstone Connect’s ELV8 GC Stars Youth Club at the Allama Iqbal Centre for four weeks as well as two mornings with the young people from High Heritage Charity. During the workshops Charley encouraged the participants to try different types of poetry including blackout, list and cut up poems and have fun with exploring their ideas through words.

Last year Charley starred in Jumped Up’s production of Rent Party at The Key Theatre and Battersea Arts Centre, and was the lead artist and facilitator for our Fierce Talent film and campaign.

The UK artist known as Korp employs multi-layered stencil techniques and marker pens to create utterly contemporary and frequently iconographic images. His stencil work displays a remarkable level of patience and an exceptional eye for detail and the use of text and hidden meanings in many of the images belies a subverted playfulness. 

Korp worked with a group of young people at his studio in Hampton weekly to design different monsters and characters. Whilst drawing, Korp taught them how to make something beautiful out of mistakes including how there is no point stressing over non perfect lines because the wonkier the better, this helped the young people of the workshops a chance to change their perspective on failure and embrace it.

A regular supporter of our Culture Forum, and a featured artist in our #1000Moments campaign, this is Korp’s first project with Jumped Up as a resident artist.

Paper Rhino is a workers' co-operative specialising in art, illustration, typography, design and animation. We started Paper Rhino so that we could use our skills to support ethically-conscious clients, new and emerging organisations, small companies and charities. We are a team of highly committed creatives. We each have an almost obsessive passion for our individual skills and want to use them as a positive force in the world.

Amanda worked with the sounding board to discuss colours, fonts and feel of the zine. She also worked with them to curate the content using her design insight to help guide them.

Paper Rhino have created various design pieces for Jumped Up in previous years, including for Rent Party, but this is their first major commission for Jumped Up.

Emily has worked as a freelance artist, curator, and producer since 2018 and has been commissioned to create work and run projects by Peterborough Presents, Metal Culture, Art Pop Up and more. Emily is a photographer and an internationally screened filmmaker. She also runs Cine-Sister which showcases films by female filmmakers in a leadership role and the Gateway Film Festival which aims to celebrate local history, community, often mixing film with other art forms such as dance, music and poetry.  

Emily project managed RHRN and also ran two workshops with High Heritage Charity creating stop motion videos of their poem collages, as well as getting the young people to show their passions through dancing, performing poetry and drawing. 

Laura is an actor and singer who was born and currently lives in Peterborough. Laura has been an actor for over 8 years and in that time has performed to many young people ageing from 3 to 20 years old. She has performed in many locations across the globe including Germany, Italy, Spain and China.

Laura worked on our Epic Fail project at Gladstone Primary Academy year 5s and went back to work with the year 6s and made audio pieces giving advice to future students, talking about what they love and their dreams for the future. 

Epic Fail / Right Here Right Now, is Laura’s first project with Jumped Up.

The Sounding Board meets monthly to share ideas, discuss issues around arts and culture in Peterborough, particularly for young people, and how this can impact the art we create. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your creative passions, build leadership skills, and have your voice heard.

The Sounding Board worked as editorial leaders on the RHRN project working with Paper Rhino to decide the colours, fonts, logo and feel of the zine as well as curating the content.

Lee Ashton is a community musician, creative technologist, and sound artist. He creates works with the community and in environments, helping people to compose music, explore sound and express themselves. As a co-director of Beat This CIC he establishes best working practices and music projects for academy schools, charities and councils across the East of England. 

As part of his work as Associate Artist on Bunker of Zion. Lee worked with students from Thomas Deacon Academy and Queen Katharine Academy to create audio pieces talking about their ancestors and what they’re passionate about. Beat This have been involved as participants and supporters in both the #1000Moment and Fierce Talent campaign, but this is the first time we have commissioned one of their creative team
