Almost Always Muddy is a new collaboration between Likely Story Theatre and Kirsty Harris brought together through National Theatre Wales (NTW) Summer Camp and then NTW WalesLab.

Likely Story Theatre specialise in storytelling for family audiences, led by Hazel Anderson and Ellen Groves. Founded in 2006, Likely Story have produced 13 pieces of work including eight rural touring shows visiting 32 counties in Wales through the Night Out scheme. Delivering work to rural settings and creating work with the communities it is intended for, reaching audiences of over 20,000 – many of whom would not otherwise have the opportunity to engage with theatre.

Likely Story has received key commissions from Arts Council Wales, Night Out, NTW and Wales Millennium Centre Incubator Programme. Participation is at the heart of their process, working intensively with young people in the development of family shows.

Kirsty Harris is an artist and maker, specialising in installation and performance works. She has worked as a designer and maker for companies including Wildworks, Kneehigh, Punchdrunk, Shunt, Chichester Festival Theatre, The Young Vic and DreamThinkSpeak. She has led design-based workshops for Old Vic, National Theatre, The V&A and Kensington Palace and created commissions for BAC, Southbank Centre, the Discover Storytelling Centre, NTW, Museum of London and The National Trust.
