New Creatives is a free programme for young people in Peterborough, aged 16-24, who want to make theatre with professional artists. This year, you'll be tackling one of the biggest questions going, AI and the environment, and turning it into a brand new piece of performance.

You'll spend your first few weeks trying out four different theatre styles with four different artists, before your group picks one to work with for the rest of the project. From there, it's all about building the show together, before your work will be shared at a youth scratch night in Peterborough next summer, and then travel outside the city to a work-in-progress sharing at Camden Fringe in August 2027.

We meet weekly on Wednesday evenings from 5pm-7pm, in Peterborough, from October 2026 to August 2027. You don't need any previous experience - just curiosity and a willingness to try something new.
