Interim Marketing Management Contract

Jumped Up is seeking some interim marketing support whilst we recruit a new Marketing & Audiences Manager.  This contract has come about due to a change in leadership capacity due to external circumstances.

BUDGET:  £5K (upto 30th March 2025)

DEADLINE FOR EOI: By Monday 20 January (earlier applications will be responded to.)

START DATE: ASAP – Ideally there would be an inception meeting by 30 January, if at all possible.

WORKING HOURS / LOCATION: Flexible. Remote working is possible but it would be preferable if we could negotiate spend some time working directly with the team in Peterborough to help you get get up to speed, and also to build your understanding of marketing to our local audiences.

ROLE: To take on the strategic planning and management of the marketing and communications of Jumped Up Theatre until at least the end of March 2025.  The marketing and communications is focused on activating audiences and participants in Peterborough, plus others who are connected to Jumped Up’s programme. 

The activity includes:

  • Working closely the Jumped Up Team, including liaising with the team of three producers, and utilising and directing the time of the current (part-time) Marketing & Communications Assistant (leads on maintaining the website, creating and scheduling social media and newsletters, and inputting evaluation data.)

  • Following up the existing activity on our current national recruitment for Marketing & Audiences Manager and Marketing & Participation Manager.

  • Leading a regional marketing campaign for participants for a Community Dance Day on Sunday 16 March at The Key Theatre, reaching participants for workshops and audiences for an evening showing of “Rest of Our Lives” by Jo Fong and George Orange.

  • Leading a local communications campaign recruiting creatives, arts organisations, youth leaders, educators and young people to a network event at ARU Peterborough in late March 2025.

  • Leading a local marketing campaign to family audiences for 4 public performances of Mark Grist’s show “Big Box Bonanza” in libraries and community spaces (dates confirms 22nd, + 29th March, plus two more dates between April and July 2025)

  • Delivering a local schools marketing plan for an event at The Key Theatre in May 2025.

  • Drafting the design of a local marketing plan for three family / young people’s shows between July 2025-March 2026.

  • Supporting on-going marketing and communications for regular Jumped Up activity (such as Dance Included, Shiamak danced group, New Creatives, Peterborough Culture Forum, trustee recruitment.)
