Become part of Jumped Up Theatre’s story.

We’re always keen to expand our view of the city and its communities by looking through fresh eyes. In turn, we offer our experience and connections to guide and support emerging creatives and artists. Since 2021 Jumped Up has had a youth-led sounding boarding, reviewing our programmes and co-designing creative youth campaigns, such as Fierce Talent, Right Here Right Now and Surfing Sofas.

Could you be part of a new group of young people working with Jumped Up?

 

The Role:

We’re recruiting six 16–25-year-olds to become our New Creatives team from October 2023 to August 2024. The team will meet every month to develop ideas for projects for Peterborough’s young people, and also to give us feedback on our wider programme.

What’s in it for you?

  • Generate material for your CV, College or University application, or DofE evidence.

This is a paid position at £10.90 per hour for meetings.

Who are we looking for?

You need to be:

  1. Driven

  2. Responsible

  3. Committed

  4. Looking to contribute to positive change.

  5. Aged between 16 and 25, and resident in Peterborough.

    You can be from any background and don’t need to be an artist or performer. We would love to hear from you if you have felt under-represented or excluded from the arts before.

You will be invited to have a chat with Jumped Up Theatre within 2 weeks of applying. 

Being a New Creative:

Successful candidates will become our New Creatives and will meet on every first Wednesday of the month (except October & Jan where it’s actually the second) at 5pm-7pm.

You would need to be available on the majority of following evenings:

  • 11 October

  • 1 November

  • 6 December

  • 10 January

  • 6 February (Tuesday)

  • 6 March

  • 3 April

  • 1 May

  • 5 June

  • 3 July

  • 7 August

Locations TBC

We will also run workshops, trips and additional activities that you are welcome to attend but will not be paid to do so.
