Cypher Film Screening

A bold and experimental package of short films created as part of Jumped Up Theatre’s Cypher project, this collection showcases the creative outcomes of a unique collaboration between spoken word artists and movement artists. Over a period of intensive workshops in August 2024 these artists came together to explore the intersections between language and dance, testing boundaries, challenging form, and discovering new ways to communicate through the synergy of voice and body.
Rather than polished performances, these films intentionally capture works in progress. The result is a series of dynamic, emotionally resonant pieces that reflect the energy of the collaborative process.
Featuring artists: Charley Genever, Sonny Nwachukwu, Monisha Roberts, Michael Riccardi, Faith Falayi, Jenna Unwin, Papiya Ganguly, Emily Abdeni-Holman, Malika Speaks, and Tim Casson.
